Over the past four years, INCATE has been supporting early-stage ventures working on innovations to address the challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). INCATE’s portfolio spans a wide range of innovative solutions, and the progress of the ventures in different modalities has been notable. However, one challenge became increasingly clear: when ventures move towards raising investments or engaging with larger industry players, many founding teams struggle with the business and fundraising side of things. For most of them, this is the very first time they have to navigate these complex processes, and critical gaps often remain.

To close this gap, INCATE is partnering with Peak Spirit, a team specialized in helping Biotech and Healthtech startups become both business development and investment-ready. Peak Spirit combines targeted Gap analyses, expert-validated knowledge, and hands-on support in business development, fundraising, and marketing – having already worked with hundreds of startups and numerous Universities, incubators, and accelerators across Europe.

Together, INCATE and Peak Spirit, have set up a joint project designed to help startups bridge exactly these gaps. At the heart of the program is a structured Gap Analysis that identifies the most critical areas where startups need to improve in order to reach investment readiness and successfully pass due diligence processes. Building on that, the program offers longer-term support: coaching sessions with experienced experts, as well as access to the Peak Spirit Academy, an extensive online learning platform with a rich library of courses, whitepapers, templates, quizzes, and webinars.

A Promising Start

Both teams are excited about this collaboration, which has already had a very promising start. By combining INCATE’s experience in supporting startups with Peak Spirit’s expertise in business and investment readiness, we are creating a powerful partnership that will help more ventures successfully take the leap from innovative ideas to strong and scalable companies.
