What Happens Next?

All eligible applications will be reviewed by our expert panel. Based on originality and commercial potential, the panel will select ten finalists to pitch live on stage at the AMR Conference. You will be informed about the results of your application by mid-January 2026.

Finalists receive:

One free ticket to the AMR Conference

All applicants are eligible for a discounted conference ticket.

The winner will be chosen by audience vote after all pitches are completed.

What is the Startup Pitch Event?

The Startup Pitch Event is a highlight of the AMR Conference! Ten promising startups developing innovative AMR solutions take the stage to pitch their startups and compete for a €10,000 prize. The winner is chosen by audience vote — it’s an exciting showcase of innovation and impact.

When and where is the 2026 Startup Pitch Event happening?

Join us on March 3, 2026, at Messe Basel, during the first day of the AMR Conference 2026.

Who can apply?

We’re looking for early-stage startups and translational projects that are:

Less than 5 years old
Have raised under €5 million
We welcome all innovations that contribute to tackling AMR — from therapeutics and diagnostics to vaccines, digital health tools, and platform technologies.

Is there an application fee?

No — applying is completely free!
All selected pitches will get a free ticket for the AMR conference.

What do I need to apply to the Startup Pitch event?

To apply you will need to upload a non-confidential pitch deck with a maximum of 15 slides and a 1 minute video. Remember: the maximum 1 minute is crucial, as your application will not considered if it’s longer than 1 minute!

Can I apply again if I wasn’t selected last year?

Absolutely! We encourage you to reapply — just make sure to send us a brand new pitch video.

I pitched on stage last year — can I apply again?

Not this year. You’ll need to wait two years before applying again.

Can I apply if I’ve already won a previous edition?

We love your enthusiasm, but previous winners can’t reapply — we want to give others a chance to shine!

When is the application deadline?

The deadline for applications is January, 7th 2026.

Does the pitch need to be in English?

Yes — all pitches are presented in English!

How can I get an impression of the startup pitch event?

You can watch recordings of previous Startup Pitch sessions held at previous AMR conference on the INCATE YouTube channel.

Do I get a ticket to the AMR Conference?

All applicants will hear back by mid-January 2026. Selected startups will receive one free ticket to the AMR Conference. Everyone who applies is eligible for a discounted ticket.
